Cognizant Announces 1% Hike to Some of its Employees

According to inside reports, IT company Cognizant Technology Solutions recently gave a 1% hike to some of its employees, despite having already delayed salary hikes by four months.
Reports also suggest that Cognizant provided hikes ranging from 1% to 5%.
Employees with a rating of 3 received a hike between 1% and 3%, while those with a rating of 4 were given a 4% increase.
Employees with a rating of 5 saw increments around 4.5% to 5%.
In 2023, Cognizant provided salary hikes in April, ranging from 7% to 11%.
The company has been offering the lowest starting salaries to its employees, with new hires receiving Rs 2.52 lakh per annum, the lowest in the last decade.
Cognizant employs around 2,54,000 people in India, making up about 70% of its workforce.
By the end of the quarter in June, the company had reduced its workforce by 8,100, bringing the total number of employees down to 3,36,300.
